The Zinjanthian wyvern lure is an exotic tool used to control a trained wyvern. It consists of an intricately ornamented and perforated metal bulb on the end of a 2-foot length of chain.
When whirled in a circle, the air moving through the inner workings produces a distinct high-pitched warbling sound that resembles the keening calls made by wyverns.
It is believed that this device was used extensively to condition young wyverns to submit to a human master, and it seems likely that by changing the speed and direction of air through the bulb, one can induce different responses in the target wyvern. So far, it has been used to call Albastru to his master over short distances, or calm the creature when he is riled.
It is unknown whether such wyvern lures are unique to each particular mount, but this one bears motifs and symbols that seems specific to Albastru.
