HISTORY
In the days before the Loom it was unknown whether the Duathan wore garments of tanned leather, paltry knitted wool, thatched hay, or if they simply relied upon their trade with the ingenious Elves to supply them with their rich raiments. Many gifts were handed down to humanity from the Duathan, the First Men of the Age of Heroes. However, the formidable Loom was not among these things.
In Neolithic times, even before Men learned the working of iron and forged weapons to hold back the advance of Unseelie Fae, by harnessing the Loom, mortals were able to produce textiles to clothe themselves, and therefore did not go naked, nor clad in animals skins (which was not popular among vegans).
The Loom works on a simple principle, allowing threads of various twined materials to be laced together in an alternating pattern through a process known as The Weave. These secrets were known only to the wisest women of each tribe; female elders, most mothers, daughters, and also some sons unsuited for hunting.
It is said that the Gods looked favourably upon this enterprise of humanity, and so then did the Loom become a symbol of burgeoning civilization, the binding together of mortal beings into a tapestry of strong fabric, and presaging the creation of new weapons and machines of increasingly cleverness. 
It is said that the God-Titan Kuyuu did take up the Loom as her symbol, using her own divine variation of the device to remake any substance into comfortable cloth goods - gold, silver, hairs plucked from the Celestial Yak Ruskhargelvn, or strands of ethereal darkness- but mostly cotton, wool, or other mundane materials.
