The Vollstreck Orden of the Kasparian Empire
The Vollstreck Orden is a strenuous order of knighthood founded in Torvaria shortly after the formation of the Kasparian Empire. One of many organizations granted broad sanction to maintain security within the boundaries of the Empire, their role is to execute the will of the Emperor and act as a military response to internal threats to Imperial order.
Renowned for their fierce loyalty and relentless fervor, Executors of the Orden have earned their epithet, 'the Emperor's Wolfhounds.'
Charged with running down spies, quashing uprisings, and cowing disloyal lords, the Wolfhounds are more enforcers than investigators. Although they operate under a code of sworn secrecy, their police actions are typically bold and ruthless. When an Imperial inquisition points a finger, it falls to the knights of the Vollstreck Orden to clench the fist.
Most Wolfhounds are Torvarian, and the Orden's senior officers are largely drawn from veteran knights who fought alongside Emperor Reinhardt himself in the War of Secession. All Executors of the Vollstreck Orden swear a solemn oath, not only to serve the Emperor, but to uphold the very institution of Imperial authority and cohesion, above all else.
Their mandate is secular - no lord, abbot, or bishop is exempt. Although mainly active in the Torvarian heart of the Empire, the Wolfhounds' warrant occasionally sees them deployed further afield. While they are never a welcome sight, they inspire even more unease when they appear in the devout lands of Iagos or the republican cities of Capracia.
The regalia of the Wolfhounds is distinct and imposing - its knights are clad in fearsome black armour inlaid with the red and gold crest of the Vollstreck Orden, which bears the likeness of their canine namesake.
