Along the false edge of the blade are a string of Unseelie charms that convey magical properties. Bloodbrine will never corrode or need sharpening. It is remarkably light and cuts through water as if it were air, incurring no penalty to fighting while immersed.
Bloodbrine contains a roiling, vicious spirit, always hungry for violence. Drawing the blade requires no expenditure of action. The sword also grants Advantage against attempts to disarm the wielder. If it lies somewhere within 5ft, retrieving it feels as easy as blinking. The blade seems almost to leap into the owner’s hand at the merest unspoken hint of anger or violent intent. However, one may find that the sword’s uncanny zeal for bloodshed is sometimes a curse as well as a boon.
The last glyph on the blade is the most curious; it is not Unseelie script like the others, but inscribed by some other hand. It is a ward against Faerie creatures and their ilk, and deals extra damage against them. The damage die for this weapon (d6) is doubled when it tastes pure Faerie blood… Sealie or Unsealie, it cares not.
*It is not known exactly what materials were used to forge Bloodbrine, but it is suspected to have been crafted (or later reforged) with Cold Iron, in the fashion of the First Men. This trait has allowed Bloodbrine to cut even the flesh of an otherworldly Archfey being.
