PRINZ ALBERINGEN

Ruler of Auspenheim

PRINCE ALBERINGEN von LUTENBECK von AUSPENSTADT
Auspen noble, statesman, Imperial vassal
---------------------------------
Ht: 6'2  /  Wt: 170  /  Hair: grey  /  Eyes: blue  /  Age: 62  /  Creed: Auspen Torvarian

APPEARANCE

The Prince is a tall, thin man with an upright posture. His scalp is bald and shiny, with stiff grey hair sprouting from his temples like small horns. He wears a thick, neatly-waxed mustache, and his head tilts back in such a way that his pale eyes seem always to be looking down at whoever he's speaking to.

His noble regalia has a sharp, military pomp to it, mostly black and silver, with a starched ruff and polished decorative breastplate. His manner is similarly stiff and polite, but also seemingly easily distracted or flustered.

ABOUT

As the Ruler of Auspenheim, Alberingen enjoys the wealth of Auspenstadt as a center of commerce and craft... and as well, the territory's additional privileges within the Imperial province of Torvaria - privileges he himself negotiated after the tumultuous War of the Phoenix that preceded the foundation of the Sacred Kasparian Empire.

His reputation is not that of a warlord, but as a man of culture and a shrewd statesman, who guided his kingdom safely through the formation of the Empire and the Battle of Obrau that rocked the Auspen Principalities 12 years earlier. For this, he is loved by his people, but there are those in the Empire who still question whether Alberingen truly served the Emperor loyally in that conflict... doubters that may include the Emperor himself.

Alberingen is wishes to preserve the prosperity of Auspenheim and join the ranks of those Princes before him whose statues adorn the plazas of the city. To this end, he would prefer his teenage son and heir, Fortiz, showed more discipline and refinement. It is for this reason that he arranged for the respected Capracian scholar Doctore Sofonisba Orlogio to act as his son's tutor and fencing instructor.
