(magic item)
The Parhedros Stones appear as two polished bean-sized pebbles inscribed with arcane scripts in the classical schools of Necromancy and Divination.
These stones were likely created by Bronzanti according to ancient artificer arts. A pair of Parhedros Stones permits a caster to share some of their magical power and vitality with another creature.

These stones were likely created by Bronzanti according to ancient artificer arts. A pair of Parhedros Stones permits a caster to share some of their magical power and vitality with another creature.
USAGE
As part of a ritual, one stone is swallowed by the caster, and the other by a subordinate creature, usually an animal. When activated by the caster, the stones form a mystical link between Caster and Subordinate.
Spellcasting
Using this bond between Stones as a bridge, as a Bonus action the Caster may pass control and Concentration of an active spell (max Level 5) to the Subordinate, who must be within 60ft.
Once swallowed, the stones reside indefinitely within the host bodies. The trace magic of the stones weak unless being actively used, and is easily missed by detections spells.
If the Subordinate is killed, the Parhedros Stone remains within the body to be recovered (the bearer of the matching stone will be drawn to its location).

The Caster may also use an Action to regurgitate their stone, or use an Action to cause the Subordinate to do the same. The Subordinate Stone link cannot be activated without the Caster's permission.
Spellcasting
Using this bond between Stones as a bridge, as a Bonus action the Caster may pass control and Concentration of an active spell (max Level 5) to the Subordinate, who must be within 60ft.
During the duration of the spell, the Subordinate maintains Concentration, and can use Actions and/or Bonus Actions to control the spell if required. The creature need not be intellectually capable of spellcasting to sustain the Concentration, only having the will and instruction to direct the magic while it resides inside them.
This permits the caster to cast and concentrate on a second spell, while their subordinate supports the original spell. Attacks against the spell's host may disrupt Concentration and end the spell, but leaves the primary caster unaffected.
However, the Subordinate cannot maintain its spell without support from the primary Caster. If the Caster is forced to lose Concentration, then the initial link is broken, and both spells will end.
*The False Bronzanti used these Parhedros Stones to allow his pet eagle to eagle to maintain a Storm Sphere evocation, and with its keen eyesight, direct lightning strikes against anyone who approached it, while False Bronzanti continued to cast other spells.
Vitality
The Stones also permit the Caster to bolster the health of the Subordinate at the cost of their own vitality.
When the Subordinate is damaged, as a Reaction the Caster can choose to roll a number of their own hit dice, and transfer the amount of HP rolled to their Subordinate, potentially keeping them alive. These HP are deducted from the Caster's HP total.
Any of the temporary HP that remain with the Subordinate expire when the Caster next rests.
