The Hundred Eyes
Argus is towering male figure of extraordinary beauty, forged in brass and crystal. His form is heroically proportioned like a Titan of myth, with elegantly chased details, and seamlessly fitted plates. From his back sprouts a fan-like array of seemingly ornamental blades, like the tail of a peacock, and upon each is fitted a crystal eye wrought of Faerie glass. Upon his gleaming shell, other crystal eyes are inlaid, and all his eyes radiate a cold blue glow from the lightning that courses through his body.
ABILITIES
Normally, Argus spends his time in a specially constructed cradle on the highest floor of Castle Dreist. From there, all the glass lenses on every floor of the tower are reflected back through the network of glass tubes and mirrors to Argus' wondrous eyes. When he sits upon this throne, with his cocktail of strange drugs coursing through his remaining organics, there is nothing in Casttle Dreist that he does not perceive.
When Argus is free of his cradle, he sees only through the lenses on his person... the eyes in his head, on various parts of his brass body, and in each of the metal peacock feathers mounted on his back. When his attention is focused down to only a couple dozen streams like this, he is at his most alert and precise.
Additionally, Argus is capable of projecting variegated patterns of dazzling light through his various crystal eyes. The effect of these light shows can range from simply blinding, to complex hypnotic patterns that disrupt the synapses of the human mind.
As if this were not enough, Argus' body also houses a specialized lightning battery which generates a powerful magnetic field that is channeled through his arms. By directing more power to these electrical emitters, Argus can detach and manipulate his metal "feathers" through invisible magnetic forces, sending them forth to strike at enemies in combat, or to deflect incoming attacks.
Each of these blades also has a Faerie glass lens, which in conjunction with the other lenses he sends forth, (or those on his body) creates a relay allowing him to see whatever is in the vicinity of each floating blade, so long as the web of sight-lines remains unbroken.
Of Bronzanti's Generals, little is known of Argus' origins. It is possible that Argus was once just another veteran of the War of the Phoenix (like Geryon) -- a living body repaired, turned into a fusion of flesh and clockworks, and inducted into his Brazen Legion.
However, even before Bronzanti made his alterations, Argus had a unique mind capable of parsing vast amounts of visual stimulus, and cognitively prioritizing each in an instant. It is clear these gifts were recognized by Bronzanti, and that Argus' new metal body was constructed to best employ them.
Whatever their history or arrangements, it is clear that Bronzanti trusted Argus implicitly, ensuring that his gifts were put to good use as effectively the eyes and brain of Castle Dreist itself.
Argus Panoptes was actually the first of Bronzanti's generals encountered by the Tyrson company. When through guile they managed to breach the Observatory at Castle Dreist's peak, they bypassed much of the surveillance overseen by Argus, and forced the general to confront them directly.
Defeated and slain by the Tyrson Company, Argus' eyes, hands, and magnetic core were taken as prizes. Argus' hands and blades have since been re-engineered by Sofonisba Orlogio into a weapon system, although it is still reliant on Bronzanti's lightning cells to operate.
