PROFILE

Krishaach is Queen Shrakeeris' warlord. Born an albino, he was chosen by Shrakeeris to be her lieutenant and consort in spite of his physical frailty. Nursed by elixirs from the Queen (in reality, helpings of the Patriarch's vampiric blood), and driven by his intense loyalty, Krishaach has grown stronger than any werebat before him. He is the closest thing they have to a perfect warrior.
APPEARANCE

In his human form, he appears as a haggard bone-white man, his translucent skin marbled with blue veins. He has a shag of pale hair and thick white sideburns. His sad pink eyes are not quite the same deep red as his mistress. His frame is lanky but powerful, and he wears a plastron of slick black plates (each emblazoned with a protective rune), as well as clawed boots and bladed greaves. Over his shoulders is borne a black hooded robe with long sleeves, that may be easily shrugged off to reveal his fearsome bladed gauntlets.

He is a strong shapeshifter, and his towering hybrid form is particularly frightful, both hulking and striking in it's ghostly, snow-furred beauty. Most Chiropterans are brown or black, so his silvery 24-foot wingspan stands out all the more when leading his flight of warriors. Even unshod by magical steel, a blow from Krishaach's wing is enough to bend steel and break bones.

PERSONALITY

Under different circumstances, Krishaach might be considered an honorable man. There is a resigned air of sadness about him. Although he is now a leader of his people, he is painfully aware of his past as a sickly misfit, an outcast in his colony before the Queen found favour in his strangeness. He knows that he owes Shrakeeris for all he has become, and moreover, he loves her deeply.

Krishaach is unaware of the Queen's true vampiric nature, or of the Chiropteran blood she has shed to nurse the Patriarch back to power. Despite his devotion, he may suspect that something is wrong on a subconscious level. He often hears his Queen whispering, as if to some unknown master... and sometimes questions whether he can hear a faint hiss of response echoing throughout the halls of Taath Nahct. In spite of any misgivings about the Queen's war, he is still a terror to face in battle. With all the power at his disposal, Krishaach may be more dangerous than Shrakeeris herself.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Krishaach's most fearsome weapon may be his voice. His command over the Call - the sonar powers possessed by werebats - is legendary among his people. In his hybrid form, he can broadcast an ear-splitting shriek over a small area. This shriek can deafen and disorient opponents, induce vertigo, and even render a target unconsciousness.

By focusing his emission into a tighter range, Krishaach can direct a blast of vibratory sound that can disrupt solid matter it strikes, including living creatures. A low thrumming can vibrate a person's internal organs at such a rate that it can throw them into a state of shock.

An more intense burst can even shatter solid bone. The exact pitch of this attack is important, as the ranges that affect humans, Chiropterans, and other races can be very specific. Krishaach has isolated the frequency for stone, most steels, and human bone... and he is a quick learner.

Most terrifying of all is Krishaach's 'sonic lance'. Given the momentary concentration needed to focus his shriek further, he may narrow the sonic emission into a tight beam of solid sound. The high-pitched whine at the base of his throat soon gives way to a visible liquid shimmer in the air before his open maw. At this point, a lance of sonic energy is unleashed, so concentrated that it may penetrate solid rock and literally shear through hard metals and stone like a hot wire through butter.

No other Chiropteran has ever achieved such a feat with the Call. It is likely that only a combination of unique talent and Krishaach's mutated biology (from the Patriarch's Blood) made this possible.
